One of my 2012 birding highlights was an evening spent with a family of
Little Owls. A pair of these lovely birds were nesting
in an East Sussex garden whose owner was very kind and generous and invited
us over to see and photograph the owls from his shed, without disturbing the
birds. The owlets were about to fledge and waiting for Mum and Dad to return
to the tree with dinner. Watching these owls was a wonderful experience that
I'll never forget. Thank you Phil!
